The five-strong R.C. Pinder Opticians Group in Nottinghamshire has upgraded its practice management system and is now reaping the benefits of centralised stock control and recall functions.

“We now carry all the branch data at our Mansfield HQ, and have enhanced the reporting function enormously. We also produce all the reminder letters from here in conjunction with advice from the branches. The centralised reporting is very good as it enables us to see which branches are performing best in certain aspects of the practice,” said Julie Rigby, IT Administrator, R.C. Pinder Opticians.

The group had been running Optisoft’s practice management system for nine years but has just upgraded to the Enterprise Edition, which brings the new functionality with inter-branch data transfer.

“The time was right for us to upgrade and the process of doing so was seamless with all our patient records transferred straight across. Our staff have found it to be a very user-friendly system, even if you don’t have a lot of IT skills,” she added.
