Optisoft Practices Scoop Four Optician Awards



Plenty of people ask the secret of a successful practice – the team, the location and the service provided, but underpinning no less than four of The Optician Award winners is Optisoft's practice management system.

"We are delighted to see so many of our users short listed in all categories and to have four overall winners. Each of these practices has maximised the benefits that a good practice management system can bring in terms of efficiency, reporting, accessibility of information and communicating with patients," said Des Mayhew, Optisoft National Sales Manager.

Nick Rumney's double awards win was a wonderful reward to all the practice staff, he said. The IT system played a large part too; "Underpinning the practice is an accurate booking of appointments function across a multi-diary – that makes a huge different to the practice," he said.

Start Up Practice of the Year, Ythan Opticians, uses Optisoft technology to run a completely paperless practice. Optometrist Tracey Sahraie is busier than she expected to be with the patients of Ellon, seeing many people who commute to Aberdeen each day.

"We have four receptionists and they picked up the system so quickly. We are running the Diary, Cash, OptomNotes™, Recall and Dispensing modules. As it is Windows-based it is very user-friendly and the diary is just like Microsoft Outlook, with which most people are familiar,” said Tracey Sahraie.
