To save time when booking appointments for new patients you can create a Temporary Patient whose details can be filled in at a later date.

  • Start booking an appointment as normal, either directly or through Find Next Appointment. It does not matter if you have a patient selected as active already.
  • Click on the New Temporary Patient button to create the temporary patient.

  • Enter the patient’s name in the box and click OK




You can then complete the booking of the appointment as normal. When the patient comes into the practice to attend the appointment you can click on the Create Patient button when viewing the appointment to enter their details and convert them from a temporary patient to a full patient record.
