Autumn is here and the summer seems a distant memory. But fear not, Optisoft has some great things planned…
Optipost now fully integrated!
We’ve partnered with Docmail for many years to offer our Optipost solution, which helps reduce mailing costs and save time.
Now, we’ve made Optipost even more user-friendly! You can generate and view print runs directly within Optisoft.NET without the use of the Docmail printer driver.
This seamless integration is free for all Optisoft.NET users and will be included in the latest version currently being rolled out.

New Rx tabs in Clinical Records
Following requests from a few of our users, we have recently added 2 new tabs within the Rx pages of Clinical Records.
The new tabs allow you to record confirmation tests and contact lens over refraction.
As with the other Rx tabs these can be activated or deactivated within the page maintenance of your existing pages as required.

Payment terminal integration expands
Many Optisoft.NET Cash users have already adopted our payment terminal integration in partnership with EVO Payments, experiencing significant time and cost savings.
If you’re considering this option, or if your current payment terminal agreement is nearing its end, EVO can provide solutions.

eGOS News
GOS 5 & 6 are now included in the full eGOS integration included within Optisoft.NET.
This will be available in the latest version being rolled out now.

Online Appointments Update
Over the last few months we have been beta testing our new online appointments system in practice.
A few issues were identified and these have now been rectified. The system should be complete and ready within the next version of Optisoft.NET being rolled out now.
Once our beta testers have confirmed a working and stable system, we will be ready to start distributing.
The price has now been finalised at just £15pm. The Appointments Module is a prerequisite if you don’t have this yet.
Look out for future emails which will be sent out when the system is ready.
Upcoming Conference – Save the Date
We are exhibiting at the Scottish Optical Conference
17th November, Glasgow Radisson Blu Hotel
SOC is a cutting-edge conference showcasing the latest in Optometry, Ophthalmology, Dispensing, Contact lenses, and Business/Marketing. Led by Dr Scott Mackie and Dr Roisin Mackie, who are renowned for their successful events, SOC is the largest optical exhibition in Scotland and the second largest in the UK, featuring over 50 exhibitors.
Planned Development Work
The projects we are currently working on are:
Direct Debits Module – Providing the ability to collect regular payments for patents on a practice scheme or short term payment plan. This new module has passed internal testing and is ready for beta testing.
Zeiss Forum Integration – Currently being assessed to provide the ability to pass patient information from Optisoft.NET into the Forum software.
GOS3 Enhancement – Enabling the generation of a voucher code for patients wishing to take their voucher elsewhere.
