Online Appointments – User Review
Pearce & Blackmore Opticians in Cardiff were one of the first practices to try our new Optisoft.NET Online Appointments facility.
Owner, Francesca Blackmore recently wrote about her experience for her Viewpoint column in Optician.
“I am very glad that we introduced an online appointment booking system last year because the amount of admin that the system has taken off my hands is absolutely unreal, and it has boosted our timely recall booking rate incredibly.”
“When the guys at Optisoft pitched the idea to me initially, I was more than a little apprehensive because, as the person dealing with the appointments and running the clinic timings, I knew what a pain patients being able to choose their own appointments could be.”
“Luckily, we have been able to customise the system so well that it is not causing any headaches whatsoever, and in fact, is solving issues that we did not even realise we had!”

We are very proud of our online appointment booking system and we’re so pleased Francesca and all our other users who have taken it on board are finding it increases recall booking rates and reduces workload.
If you would like to try it out with no comitment, please let us know.

Raising money for charity
Jess, Sarah & Mary – the team at one of our longstanding users, Saffron Eyecare in Leicester recently braved the weather spending the night sleeping outside in order to raise awareness and money for their fantastic local charity, The Bridge Homelessness to Hope.

They braved the elements and risked no sleep (and a bad back) in the hope of smashing their fundraising target – which of course they did!
Well done from the everyone here at Optisoft!
If you would like to donate, their fundrasing page is still open:

Combat the Royal Mail price increases
Incase you were unware, postage prices are set to rise again on 7th April.
The cost of a first-class stamp will rise by 5p to £1.70 and a second-class stamp by 2p to 87p!
By sending your recalls via SMS or email you can quickly negate these costs and save money in the process. Thats where Optisoft.NET can help.

New features on the horizon
Scottish Integrated eGOS – We in the process of completing the fully integrated eGOS claim system for Scotland. this work has a deadline of August.
Direct Debits Module – Phase 1 is now complete and is ready for beta testing. This new module will enable you to schedule repeat payments or spread payments over a fixed period via Direct Debit. Direct Debits will be collected via our partner GoCardless and seemlessly integreted with Optisoft.NET.
