Summer is here, but it’s not just the weather that’s heating up, read on to find out the latest news from Optisoft.
Fully integrated eGOS
eGOS is fast becoming our users favourite feature of Optisoft.NET with it’s ability to start, pause and continue a claim from any stage.
Capture information in any order with no worries about losing signatures and no time-outs. Bring back the paper form workflow you were used to.
GOS1 & GOS3 are in full use. GOS4 & 6 are now in testing.
Full features include:
Save claims and re-open to complete at any stage.
Capture signatures using any touchscreen, QR code reader or graphic tablet device.
No loss of signatures due to claim changes.
Auto-voucher selection with values.
Batch signing for Contractors and Performers.
Integration with Clinical Records.

As of 4th June we have introduced Saturday Support as part of your existing support package.
From 9am till 1pm each Saturday a reduced support desk will be open to help with issues that you may encounter while the main support desk is closed.

We also have a dedicated webpage including out of hours help and other contact options.
Please be aware that whilst we will endeavour to fix any issue promptly, some less urgent queries may be referred to the main support team to be dealt with first thing Monday morning.
As we reported in the last newsletter, development work on the Optisoft integration to EeRS is complete as far as possible. The Opera, Cynapsis and Rego systems are the most complete at this stage and we are hoping to have them up and running in the very near future, depending on NHSX & NHS England.
EeRS stands for Electronic eyecare Referral System. The aim is to provide a secure system for the transfer of patient and clinical data between eyecare services and GPs.

Community Hub Improvements
We have expanded the features of the Hub to provide an on-line shop for all your consumable needs such as SMS top ups and bar-coding labels.
Fast access to the wiki’s has also been added alongside the much used eLearning videos.
A new ‘My Account’ page enables you to update your details including password.
If you haven’t already, make sure you register on the Community Hub for all the free resources only available to Optisoft users.
In the next software update…
The follwoing new features and improvements will be available in the next updates for Optisoft.NET:
Instant Messaging – A WhatsApp style messaging solution between workstations and cloud-hosted practice groups. Send messages to your Optom from the reception desk or a collegue in another branch.
Clinical Records Overview – A new tab on the Activity panel will provide access to complete visit overviews all on one screen whilst completing ‘todays’ visit.
Upcoming Appointments – Another tab on the Activity panel will show the upcoming appointments for each diary without the need to open the appointments module.
Refunds wizard – To help streamline refunds in the cash module we have added a step by step ‘wizard’ to make the refunds process faster and easier.
Voucher Value Auto Updates – When new voucher values are released these will now be automatically applied to your voucher products and eGOS.
Product Import & Export – This feature will enable you to update your products using a spreadsheet rather than product maintenance in Optisoft.
Planned Development Work
The next projects we are currently working on now are:
Online appointment bookings to enable patients to book directly into the Optisoft.NET appointment module.
Payment terminal integration to provide a link from the cash module to the EVO credit card terminal.
